Maharashtra embarked on its ambitious 2 crore tree plantation mission in the city on Friday, 1.7.16. Khed City contributed towards the mission by planting 143 saplings within its project boundaries. KEIPL team also participated in a joint plantation activity of 200 saplings at Nimgaon village and 100 saplings at Dawadi village. The initiative was a part of Vanamahotsav 2016-17 and officials confirmed that burning environmental issues like global warming, climate change and environmental conservation acted as the catalyst.
