On March 24, 2026, Khed City proudly welcomed the Taiwan Nonwoven Fabric Industry Association (TNFIA) delegation, coordinated by Invest India. The visit marked a significant milestone in fostering international partnerships and showcased Khed City’s role as one of India’s fastest-growing industrial hubs.
Led by Shelly Chia-Chin Chien of Shinih Enterprise Co., Ltd., the delegation comprised senior representatives from Taiwan Kureha Co., Ltd., JHIH CHENG Nonwoven Co., Ltd., Nu Cotton International Co., Ltd., Asia Nonwoven Fabrics Association, Zhejiang Boretch Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd., and Always Champion Enterprise Co., Ltd. Their presence underscored the global interest in India’s industrial ecosystem and the opportunities available at Khed City.
The delegation toured Khed City’s 4,200-acre integrated industrial park, which includes a Domestic Tariff Area (DTA), Special Economic Zone (SEZ), and essential support services. Strategically located 50 km north of Pune, Khed City offers seamless connectivity to Mumbai International Airport, JNPT (India’s largest container port), and major industrial clusters such as Chakan, Talegaon, and Ranjangaon. With robust infrastructure, reliable utilities, and access to a large talent pool through Khed ITI, Khed City provides a competitive edge for global manufacturers.
A highlight of the visit was the factory tour of Kaas Shoes, where the delegation experienced India’s growing expertise in footwear manufacturing. From advanced production processes to stringent quality standards, the visit demonstrated how Indian SMEs are scaling up to meet global demand in fashion and technical manufacturing
